Tiny moments,
made to feel huge.
I design warm, playful websites and brands for startups, local businesses and good causes — the kind people actually enjoy using, and come back to.
One craft, any world.
Watch one frame morph through five wildly different worlds — payments, music, travel, streaming, gaming. Not just new colours: a fresh layout, structure and personality for each. These are playful concept builds — affectionate parodies, not affiliated with any real brand — every frame live and morphing in real time. Tap a tab to drive it.
Five worlds, five design systems — fintech, music, travel, streaming and gaming, each with its own layout, palette and personality. Affectionate parodies built to show range; yours would be designed from scratch, just for you. This is what art direction and a real design system buy you.
Don't just look at it — feel it.
It's the part you can't screenshot. A handful of little ideas I bring to every build — go on, poke around (works with a mouse or a finger).
A real button pushes back. Press it — it sinks under your finger, then springs home.
Flip it. Nothing snaps — the knob overshoots a touch, then settles into place.
Tap it. Every press earns a little burst of reward — small dopamine, big difference.
Drag across it — or on a phone, tap it and tilt your device. The card leans in 3D with a live sheen, like a real object catching light.
Fling the knob and let go — it stretches with the drag, then snaps back with a rubber-band spring.
Six disciplines, one obsession: how it feels.
Web design
Marketing sites and landing pages that load fast, read clearly and convert kindly.
UX / UI design
Flows and interfaces that feel obvious, friendly and just a little bit delightful.
Motion & micro-interactions
The 100ms details — hovers, presses, transitions — that make a product feel alive.
Branding & art direction
Warm, characterful identities: logo, type, colour and the voice that ties it together.
Front-end build
Hand-built, pixel-true and responsive. It looks like the design because I make it.
Commerce · Shopify & BigCommerce
Storefronts that are easy to run and a genuine pleasure to buy from.
Small steps, no surprises.

Hi — I'm Ross O'Flaherty-Lane.
I'm a solo designer and front-end developer in Dublin — Cork born, and my family won't let me forget it. I've been making things for the web for over 20 years, ever since I built a site and forum for my gaming guild as a teenager and never quite stopped tinkering.
I bring a game-maker's eye to every build — the magic lives in the tiny moments: a satisfying click, a hover that surprises you, a form that just feels easy. It's only ever me, so you work directly with the person making your site. And when I'm away from the keyboard, I'm usually losing a board game to friends, chasing our two-year-old, or talking far too much about Pokémon.
Honest packages. No surprises.
Starting points, not invoices — every project gets a custom quote after we chat.

The Refresh — have an existing website that needs a refresh?
A focused redesign or polish of your existing single page — a fresher look, sharper words, and the small details that make it feel properly cared-for. The gentle first step before a full Spark or Build, not a build from scratch.
Questions, answered.
How long does a project take?
Do I own the site — and can I edit it myself?
What about hosting and domains?
What if I need changes after launch?
How much does a website cost in Ireland?
Do you only work with Dublin businesses?
Let's make something people love.
